COREography

COREography is a programme designed to educate students on the importance of a strong core for any type of dance.

Most people have the misconception that it is only the abdominal muscles that make up the core, when in fact, a strong core is made up of muscles in your abs, back, hips and pelvic floor. Every dance technique using the arms, legs, or spine, requires the type of “controlled freedom” that a strong core provides.

Our goal is to help students achieve a heightened sense of body awareness by introducing them to choreography of different genres and dance practices.

COREography (Level 1)

Suitable for those with no/some experience in dance, the focus of our COREography classes is to learn a short choreography, while still applying the relevant technique required. In Level 1, basics that are necessary for the choreography being taught will be covered in the first 15-20 minutes of class.

COREography (Level 2)

Our Level 2 classes feature more complex movements and skills used in the choreography, and are suitable for those who have been actively dancing for at least 1 year.
